Interesting race this, Cougar Mountain is a horse i follow so i am pleased he came top.

There are several things you need to know about CM, one - he is a faster ground horse, two - 1m is his best distance and three - he has always been very well though off. I have been a big critic of AOB about this horse, as for some reason AOB never runs him on his preferred ground. 3 times he got his preferred ground and his result were 1, 4, 1. The 4th he was in the Coral Eclipse, beaten by non other than Golden Horn, The Grey Gatsby and Western Hymn.

You can discount any run  on Good-soft or softer with him as he hates the ground. He has raced 6 times on good, and never won. Worrying you might think? but seeing as 5 of the races we Group 1and only one was a group 3 (he got beaten by a short head and had 3 of todays runners well behind) If the ground Firms up this horse will be unbeatable, as he is easily a Group 1 or 2 horse of G-F over 1 mile. On good he is capable of a Group 3, so this Listed race should be very much within his grasp, and i would say he should be hard to beat.

Foxtrot Charlie is a bit of an unknown, and he certainly needs to improve to beat CM on speed stats.

Sovereign Debt won this last year, so comes here again with a good chance, and any rain will just improve his chances

It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
