Todays Nap

4:10 Ascot - Hasopop 7/1 e/w

I'm not going to lie, todays nap was going to be String Theory but looks like the horse will go off very short. I heard that connections are very much looking forward to String Theory running in the maiden today, and think the horse will win. But i am going for another of Marco Botti's horses as my nap as much better value.

His horses always seem to need a run after a break before they hit their peak form. Hasopop has had 2 now. Gelded over the winter, he has calmed down, and he need to, as he lost a couple of races last year by being far too keen. This stiff 6 furlongs will be fine, and if you look at his first race back from a break, which was a Listed race, he didn't get a clear run, and when he did he made headway and although came 5th, was only beaten 2L, the next race he ran well and came 3rd, couldn't catch the leaders, but once again beaten by just over 2L. I do think he can win, but am playing safe with e/w. Zanetto is a ig danger in this, but i wonder if the others might need the run.

Just a bit on another runner Rockalong. I went with him mainly because of his last race, where out of the horses that have run since, 3rd placed horse came a close 2nd, and 4th, 6th and 9th have all gone onto win, and one was in a higher grade. So the stats look good here. His biggest danger is Twenty One Choice.
