Tips for 17/2/13

Tricky Trickster

No daily tips today and not much catching the eye, the ones that do are very short. So i have gone for a double today

4:20 Ffos Las - Tricky Trickster 2/5
5:00 Market Rasen - Salto Christo 1/1

Tricky Trickster is a very good horse, or was before falling 2 years ago and breaking some vertebrae in his neck, his comeback run pleased connections no end, although it was a massive step down in class, he should of come on from that run now and although this is another step up in class, he is still a much better horse than his opponents. He needs to win this race or come second to get into the Foxhunters at Cheltenham, as that is his aim. He will go very well today.

Salto Christo is a horse i liked when watching him come second to Horizontal Speed, yes he was beaten 5l but the pair had drawn 26 lengths in front of the rest. Horizontal Speed Slipped up on his next run but 3rd placed Stony Road came 3rd again and was beaten by another couple of very nice horses. So it is looking good. Dunluce Castle with the champion jockey on board is a danger, but i think this might be too short for him.

  1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
