1:10 Fontwell - Kaituna 3/1

Bit of a risky bet today, and i know i have gone against most professionals, so i am warning you in advance, but i'll explain my reasons.

Kaituna today is racing Venetian Lad who she met last time out, over course and distance. Venetian Lad had been in great form winning 3 races on the bounce and was 4/5 favourite. I myself couldn't see him beaing beating. Kaituna had come into the race after being off for nearly a year, and before that her only 2 races over fences had resulted in her being Pulled Up and Falling, although going back further she had won a Hurdle race by 14 Lengths that put her on a rating of 125.  Kaituna was pushed along 3 out, and Venetian Lad had was still travelling well

When Jockey Marc Goldstein put his foot on the accelerator Venetian Lad responded, but so did Kaituna, who matched Venetian Lad stride for stride. Kaituna dug deep and ran on to win by 3/4 of a length. Kaituna has been put up 2lbs for that effort, which is fair, and her trainer says she wasn't 100% and need the run, he now say she  has improved for the run too. So now being 100% race fit, i think she will once again beat Venetian Lad, my only worry is Emperors Choice who won a 3m handicap chase at Ascot a couple fo weeks ago, beating Lord Tomnoddy by 4 lengths. But i think based on Kaituna's last run, she could be very difficult to beat.


Reminder 2:00 Lingfield - Miakora 16/1

Just a reminder that i posted a copy of Wags Nags view on the 2:00 Lingfield - and his view that Miakora at 16/1 has been priced wrong and should be a lot shorter.   1st Corach Rambler 11/2 - 85 2nd Delta Work 18/1 - 60 3rd Galia Des Liteaux 25/1 - 50 3rd Aint That A Shame 50/1 - 50 3rd Chambard 66/1 - 50 3rd Noble Yeats 16/1 - 50 (FYI 4th Vanillier & Mac Tottie 45, 5th Nassalam, Limerick Lace, Run Wild Fred 40. 6th Latenightpass, Minella Indo & Eklat De Rire 35) I kind of feel disappointed that only one horse i like got into the top here. It does contain 2 previous winners of the race and after doing the system, i will conceed that Corach Rambler has a massive chance to follow up here, however we all saw the effort he put in at Cheltenham, it blew me away and it was well reported exactly how tired he was after the race. That worries me as it wasnt that long ago, althougth everything points to another very good run.
