Very patchy form recently, but looking at his last race there could be a reason why this horse is shortening today. Mark Anthony went off at a blistering pace and and spread the field, for some reason the jockey only made his move 2 fulongs out and had plenty to do, but from being nearly at the back, Cheers Buddy was reeling the field in and managed to come 6th.
Now for me it looked like another furlong and he would have caught them all, so it is surprising to see him actually dropped back a furlong instead, but when you look at his form his only 2 wins, one was over 1m, but the one before that was actually over 7f on a/w surface.
I think a e/w bet is very reasonable for this horse today
