1st Shine Baby Shine 9/4 - 55
2nd Thackeray 33/1 - 35
3rd Benissimo 40/1 - 30

Not a very good race this, but Thackeray interested me so i thought i would do a system.

Shine Baby Shine is no real surprise at the head of things here. He won over C&D in August and was put up 10lb for his 11L victory over Tynecastle Park, who he reapposes here with a 12lb swing in the weights, but even so i am not sure Tynecastle Park can beat SBS. He had a spin over hurdles on his return from a break, so comes into this fit.

Thackeray was the horse who took my eye. His stats over C&D are 4, 3, 5, 3, 3, 4, 3, 3, 4, 3. So you see he is consistant here. He has come 3rd in this last year and he is 2lb lower than last year. He has been ridden by his jockey 5 times, 3 of those were at this track, and those stats are 3, 3, 3. (sho rode him in this last year) I am not sure he will beat SBS who is still only 4, to his 11, but at 33/1 a place could seem reasonable.

Benissimo goes up in trip on his return to the flat, which might see him in a better light. He has been running over shorter on the flat, so this step up to this distance could be positive, but thats the only thing to recommend him, his runs on flat have been poor. His last run on the flat wasa C7 race, although there have been plenty of winners from that race, but he would need to show more in this.

My Selection: Shine Baby Shine 9/4 (Thackeray 33/1 small ew)
