  1st Mr Vango 7/1 - 55 2nd O'Connell 7/1 - 45 2nd Nassalam 22/1 - 45   3 horses on 40 - Haiti Couleurs, Monbeg Genius and Collectors Item. Mr Vango came clear here the rest were all very close indeed.  Mr Vango is so consistent he will stay all day, he jumps well, the ground will be fine, although he would probably prefer some rain. He has never been to Chepstow, but his stats suggest the track will not be an issue. The only slight negative would be the quick turn around from his last race.  O'Connell  is very similar to Mr Vango in that he stays, the ground in his case is perfect, my only negative is in 7 attempts he has not won going left-handed and only placed once. He definitely prefers right-handed tracks. If that doesn't inconvenience him, he will have a chance. Nassalam has not been the same horse of late. Since winning this race in 2023 he has only completed a race once in 6 tries, with 5 P's next to his name. It does mean because of that he has slipped...

  1st Konfusion 5/4 - 70 2nd Butch 9/1 - 50 3rd Our Power 7/1 - 40   Only 5 runners and one clear winner.  Konfusion stood out here. 2/2 at Wetherby, ground is fine and wont mind it drying out. Trip is fine. Beat Docpickedme last time out who won a very nice race at Doncaster last week. Its not bad form. Has a big chance. Butch is very similar to Konfusion with the track and distance, probably want a bit of rain, and the only worry would be his previous race after coming back from a long break. He will have needed to come on massively from that, but its not unachievable. Our Power is a much better horse going right-handed, but the track should be fine for him. I do think if it was right-handed, i would very much like him. Ground is fine and he wont mind it drying out. Distance will suit to, he definitely has claims on a place. I am sticking to my system, Konfusion will be hard to beat My Selection: Konfusion 5/4  

  1st Ivane 16/1 - 60 2nd Finn Lough 14/1 - 50 3rd The Big Breac 11/4 - 40   Not lots and lots of stats here which is strange. Ivane scored the best and definitely stays after winning the Durham National. Im not convinced the course is the best for him but its not terrible either, would probably do better left-handed, although has won right-handed. Ground is fine and wont mind if it dries out either.  Finn Lough should also stay, i think he needs to step up on his previous performances, but the ground is perfect and the track will be ok for him.   The Big Breac i thought might top this, so was a little surprised. Definitely think he will be in the places though/ Will stay and although not sure how he is going right-handed he should appreciate the track. He has claims So although not loads to go on, i do think Ivane can run well and The Big Breac will be thereabouts. Ill stick with my system here.  My Selection: Ivane 16/1
