Probably because he won this last year so he ticks a lot of boxes, He won this last year after pulling up at Leicester, and this time he pulled up at Cheltenham. Again he has had 2 runs before this race also. There is no reason not to think he will go well again.  Gaboriot wears headgear for the first time and thats noticable. His stats at 2m 5f over this course is UR, 3, 2. Can he make it a 1 as well. The UR was on heavy ground, the 3 and 2 were on Good to Soft. The ground is fine, i think if it dries out thats possibly a good thing for him. He is interesting.  Famous Clermont won this back in 2023, and pulled up last year when he bled from the nose, he does follow the same route as last year with a win in a p2p.   1st Argento Boy 10/1 - 60 1st Better Times Ahead 16/1 - 60 2nd Flicker Of Hope 11/1 - 50   A bit of a gap with these 3 and the others, the next ones are 35 and that's Sa Majeste and Search For Glory. Argento Boy is a worry as he is very unexposed, but he has done well over fences, and he will like the ground and the track will suit. He hasn't been this far but looks a good stayer, so this step up could bring out more improvement. He also carries a good weight. If he isn't too Novicy here, he could run well!  Better Times Ahead won over 3m 6f at Fairyhouse in November and went up 14lb in the handicap, so has to find more. He will like the trip, the course and the going. He has claims if he can find more.  Flicker Of House won over 2m 4f at Fairyhouse on heavy going, so this is another mile and 1f, on much better ground, he has also won at 3m 1f, so there shouldn't be an issue.   1st Tommie Beau 28/1 - 80 2nd Transmission 10/3 - 50 2nd Sea Invasion 5/1 - 50    As you can see the top 3 are close. Next at 40 were Invincible Nao and Unanswered Prayers.  Tommie Beaus stats at Plumpton over fences are 1, 3, 1, 2. and the 2nd was in this race in 2024. It was soft that day and he was 136, today he is off 125 and although copes well with soft, i would argue he is a better horse on good ground with 7 wins on it. We know the course suits, all his wins have come left handed to. Coming back to Plumpton to this race is interesting. Yes he is 11 now, but he carried 12st 1lb 2 years ago in this, today its 11st 2lb and cheekpieces are applied. Don't rule him out even being the oldest in the race.  Tranmission is 2/2 over hurdles at Plumpton, so the course will be fine, and we know he stays, and the ground is perfect. He went up 8lb for his great run in the Edinburgh National, and his jockey takes off 7 of that, which will help. He definitely has claim...
