11/04/24 4:05 Foxhunters Chase - System

1st Cat Tiger 50/1 - 55

2nd Bennys King 8/1 - 45

3rd Tea Clipper 16/1 - 35

I have based this on heavy ground as lots of rain due Wednesday afternoon and the National Course is already Heavy (soft in places)

Cat Tiger will love this heavy ground and he was 2nd in this in 2022, he has also come 3rd in this in 2021 and 5th in the Grand Sefton. The wettest it has been in those races is g-s. This is a horse who stays 3m, so this trip on heavy, he could go very well. He jumps well round this course, and track and going are great. 50/1 is generous

Bennys King is 13 now! However it didnt stop him beating Cat Tiger and Hardline at Leicester on heavy ground over 2m 7f. He was 2nd in this race last year, so we know the course if fine. Like Cat Tiger he stays further and loves heavy, this trip on heavy could be perfect for him.

Tea Clipper loves a flat track, he has never faced the fences before like the other 2, but he has gone ok at Aintree before. He goes well on soft, but heavy ground is an unknown however he hasgone well over 3m on soft so 2m 5f on heavy should not be an issue. If he takes a liking to the fences he could go well. He is a good jumper.

There are a couple of horses here like Romeo Magico, he could go very well, only 3 races but he seems to love the mud, the distance is fine. but the question marks over the kind of tracks and the fences, so he only scored 20 but you cant rule him out. Also Its On The Line, this looks an ideal race for him, going and distance is fine, however he fell in this last year, so thats a worry.

I will stick with my system here as always

My Selection: Cat Tiger 50/1
